About Broadimage
Editorial photography and video for the world's editors, talent agencies, public-relations firms, and brands. Rights-managed. License-ready. Distributed worldwide since 2008.
Who we are
Broadimage is a California-registered editorial photo and video agency, headquartered in Los Angeles with a bureau in New York. We serve the global media industry.
Founded in 2008, Broadimage has built one of the most extensive networks of contributing photographers in editorial coverage — covering the moments where culture, politics, sport, and entertainment meet the public eye.
What we cover
Five primary editorial categories, with established subcategories within each:
- Sports — international competition, championships, leagues, athletes
- Entertainment — film, television, theater, awards shows, movie premieres
- News — breaking news, political, cultural, civic events
- Royalty — coverage of royal families and state events worldwide
- Street Style — fashion week, off-duty, cultural moments
Subcategories include fashion, red carpet, music, awards shows, movie premieres, talent portraits, paparazzi-style candid coverage, and editorial-standard features.
How we license
Broadimage licenses imagery on a rights-managed (RM) basis — every license specifies the media type, territory, duration, and intended use. This is the licensing model used by wire services and high-end editorial agencies, distinct from royalty-free stock libraries.
Our licenses are editorial-use only by default. Commercial, advertising, or promotional use requires a separate license and, where applicable, additional model or property releases. We provide watermark-clean, publication-ready files to verified licensees only.
For licensing inquiries, contact licensing@broadimage.com. See our full License Agreement for terms.
Our standards
Broadimage produces and distributes editorial imagery to professional standards consistent with the global wire-service tradition:
- Captioned, dated, and credited. Every image carries IPTC metadata identifying the photographer, event, location, and date.
- No staged or AI-fabricated imagery. Editorial coverage represents events as they occurred. We do not distribute AI-generated photographs as editorial content.
- Photographer rights respected. Our contributing photographers retain copyright in their work; Broadimage is the licensed exclusive distributor for the territories and uses we represent.
- Truthful editorial use. Our license terms prohibit defamatory use, misleading editing, and use in contexts that materially misrepresent the people or events depicted.
